Because BuildMate functions as your AI co-founder, the clarity and context you provide help train a localized, project-specific intelligence layer.

We also collect usage telemetry—including time spent in Focus Mode, AI Co-Founder chat interactions, and task completion rates—to continuously optimize the models and improve the user experience.

2. How We Use Your Data

The data we collect is explicitly used to power your experience:

• To assemble dynamic contexts for the generative AI models (e.g., Gemini, DeepSeek).
• To track your project velocity and generate shareable Build Logs.
• To secure your account via Clerk authentication.
• To monitor system latency and error rates for debugging.

3. Third-Party Intelligence Models

BuildMate utilizes third-party Large Language Models (LLMs) to perform tasks such as code generation and roadmap planning. We do not use your private project data to train our foundational models, nor do we sell your data to external data brokers. When project context is sent to an external API (like OpenAI or Google Vertex AI), it is transmitted over secure, encrypted channels and discarded according to their respective zero-retention enterprise policies.

You retain full ownership of the intellectual property generated within BuildMate. You have the right to request a full export of your project data or request account deletion at any time. If you wish to delete your account, project contexts, and associated databases, please contact our data protection team.
